FTMO payout calculator
The FTMO payout calculator starts from the real split: 80% of your profit on the 2-Step Challenge and 90% on the 1-Step. Enter a reward amount to see what you keep, and how the Scaling Plan and Premium Programme change it over several rewards.

FTMO pays 80% on the 2-Step Challenge
and 90% on the 1-Step
FTMO does not run one flat split. Which Challenge you took sets your starting rate.
On the 2-Step, two separate FTMO programs can lift that rate from 80% to 90%, through different qualifying conditions. The 1-Step is already at 90% and stays there.
What that profit has to survive first is the FTMO drawdown calculator's Maximum Loss floor.
Five reward rules decide when
your FTMO payout is released
The split decides your share of the profit. These rules decide whether (and how soon) that profit is payable at all.
The 2-Step starts at 80%, the 1-Step is a flat 90%
The 1-Step Challenge pays 90% from your very first reward and does not scale. The 2-Step Challenge starts at 80% and reaches 90% through either of two separate FTMO programs.
Two routes to 90%: the Scaling Plan and the Premium Programme
The Scaling Plan raises your split alongside a 25% account-size increase every 4 months, gated on 4+ months as an FTMO Trader, 10%+ cumulative profit, at least 2 processed rewards and a positive balance. The Premium Programme reaches 90% on reward history alone: 4 or more successful withdrawals of 4%+ profit, with no failed account in the past 4 months. They are separate programs with separate conditions.
Your first reward unlocks 14 calendar days after your first trade
FTMO’s help pages put it as the 14th calendar day after your first trade on the funded account, and any day after that. It is on demand rather than a fixed cycle — third-party sites describing a 1st/15th schedule are describing something FTMO’s own wording does not say.
Minimum trading days are an evaluation rule
FTMO’s 4-day minimum is a Challenge and Verification objective. It does not carry over to the funded account, where the gate is the 14-calendar-day wait above rather than a trading-day count.
The Best Day Rule, on the 1-Step only
Your best single day cannot exceed 50% of your total profit from winning days, or the reward can be held until you bring it back under the threshold. The 2-Step Challenge, Verification and the funded stage carry no such rule.
Four rewards at 80% then 90% blend
to an 85% effective split
Say you trade a 2-Step FTMO account at the 80% baseline. Your first two rewards each bring in $2,000 of profit: at 80% you keep $1,600 each time, $3,200 in total, and FTMO keeps $800.
After the second processed reward you have cleared one of the Scaling Plan’s four conditions. The calculator does not check the other three (4+ months of tenure, 10%+ cumulative profit, a positive balance), so treat the switch as a model rather than a promise. From your third reward on, set the split to 90%: a third $2,000 reward pays you $1,800.
The fourth is another $1,800. Across four rewards you made $8,000 and kept $6,800, an effective split of 85% — the later, higher-split rewards pull the blended average up. Run your own reward size and milestone above for your own blended number.
The FTMO payout calculator does not check
Scaling Plan eligibility
It splits the reward figure you give it at the split you set. It does not check whether you qualify for the Scaling Plan or Premium Programme, whether the Best Day Rule has capped your eligible profit, or FTMO's current reward timing.
It also assumes every projected reward cycle earns the same profit, which real trading will not do. Treat the multi-cycle projection as a way to see the scaling mechanic working, and use the prop firm earnings calculator when you want a figure weighted by your odds of keeping the account.
FTMO's terms were checked against its own published pages in July 2026 and re-checked in September 2026. Confirm anything payout-critical in your own FTMO dashboard (that link is a referral, disclosed in the footer).

A split only matters on profit you kept, which is the FTMO drawdown calculator's job, and on a reward the rules will release, which is the consistency rule calculator's. The prop firm payout calculator runs the same engine for any firm, the earnings calculator turns one reward into a monthly figure, and the ROI calculator weighs it against what the Challenge fee cost you. The firm comparison puts FTMO's split next to the futures firms, several of which pay a higher headline percentage on much harder rules.
